+how 2009 went+

the new year resolutions every year is actually a continuation of the good from the past, and a termination of the bad! here's how 2009 went..

-well i didn't club in 2009! good good! save money!
-i drank more though, pub-ing, company events and overseas trips.
-opened myself up more to the world, both good and bad.
-shopped less. actually shopped less for clothes, more for other stuff.
-renewed my gym membership for three years. gosh.
-gathered less. for the sole purpose of gathering didnt come strong as it used to.
-new shopping centres ION, orchard central and 313@somerset opened, which i have yet to explore
-didnt visit far east plaza, pacific plaza.. places i used to hang out.
-played more mahjong, lost more money
-increased revenue as compared to 2008, still far short of my target by miles
-pump prices increase, hampering the idea of buying a car, which i totally need
-shopping list grows, ever longer
-manchester united won the title, lost the champions league to barcelona
-deferred my reservist, spending one week in the process..
-got charged by cmpb cause i defaulted my RT, which apparently i didn't.
-spent more time with myself, my family
-boring weekends had a new meaning

i think the list could go on and on..

+looking back, 2009+

don't you realise in two days time, we would have passed 2009, stepping into 2010. all less than 48 hours! i remember celebrating 2009 passing by so quickly, singing in the ktv and rushing out to wish everybody happy new year and watching the fireworks from afar. cannot imagine that was 363 days gone! time flies.

i surely did learn alot over the course of one year, most importantly, i think i've changed much! be it physically, spiritually, or mentally, everything is heading to perfection. thats good news!

very importantly, i want to build on the good things that i have done for the past year, the new clients i've forged a business relationship with, and the mistakes i've made, how i've not done my due diligence to several clients, i want to change all that in 2010. hopefully, making them my clients again in the new year.

for all the new friends i've made, i hope all of you enjoy the times with me this year, hopefully i can catch up with you guys again in 2010! the not so good friends, i really hope we can become good friends!

okay, its getting really tired after a long day. enjoy the final forty odd hours in 2009! happy new year in advance!

+window shopping fun+

i recently had to moderate a comment i get on my blog. okay, that means, someone is reading right? well, actually i have this tracker which tells me my daily views, so yeah, i know you guys are still there. well, certainly i hope to bring in more pictures once i get a new camera and more interesting details of my life should anyone come into it. those are part of my 2010 resolutions!

i actually went to many places today! from chinatown, to clarke quay, to funan and then bras basah and finally bugis! all within four hours! i mean, shopping was fun. i didn't buy alot of things, but i did tons of window shopping! and the sales people were really, really friendly.

shopping for hair products, new digital camera, new laptop, new watch and of course, a new handphone. i think i'm going broke very soon. let's see which of these i would actually buy, but have fun working for the last week of 2009!

+technology shopping+

oh crap. just when the year is ending and the world is celebrating christmas all over, i am sitting here in my room, thinking of what to buy for the new year! i have mentioned that i wanted change for the new year, i have been ranting all year long, i think its time to put those thoughts into real action.

first was getting all crazy over getting a lighter laptop, because the one i am currently using is 2.5kg, though performance, its totally not mobile! its crazy thinking that i have to lug it around all day. shortlisted a few, i think i will decide on one by the end of the year!

second thing i actually wanted to get was a digital camera. so desperate on getting one because i need it for work, for pleasure, and just snapping the things i see around me and keeping it as memory. i have looking around various shops, online forums and the official sites which they sell, boy, i must say i know nothing about cameras at all! all the technical jargons that i needed to learn before i can come up with an informed decision. that, too needed to be decided by new year!

alright, for now, i'll go back to my research! have a great boxing day!

+merry christmas 2009+

i have recently realised the influx of people getting attached during this festive season. do you know there is a 20% increase of people getting attached during this period! this probably will last till valentine's day, or probably sometime then.

i think my colleagues recently got attached to each other. weird aint it? office lovers! omg the worst kinds you imagine, watching each other at work, and after. maybe i'm just not a fan of office relationships, particularly with someone you would spend your quiet evenings with. you'll end up probably talking about work again.

well whether you're spending this christmas alone or with your loved one, i just hope you enjoy this very special day with your loved kins, family and closely knitted pals. be blessed with all the wonderful things there is with this world, and may your relationships grow stronger as everyday passes by.

+crazy weekend.+

the weekend which just passed was the weekend my parents went away; to a faraway land in Malaysia! seems like a long weekend, although i spend most of the time outside, like usual.

had spent the whole saturday watching drama because there was a gathering at boss' place on friday. first time into the residential areas of sentosa cove. the whole place is so surreal! (think OC and gossip girl) more like OC though, they have yacht outside their homes, how cool is that? had fun talking and playing with boss' golden retriever.

went to watch three football matches with ben and his friend, walter. two matches of which, shocking results. then proved to be a happy night for ben and his gunners gang. what can i say, the ball is round. anything can happen.

went all the way to jurong east to meet a client, then had my manhatten fish and chips for 'brunch' at 5pm. i know. its crazy. having these irregular meals these days its almost killing my system. headed to the gym for a short workout before heading to din tai fung at bishan for another family gathering! saw the new VW scirocco and took a ride home. super cool! no wonder its voted ST car of the year!

crazy weekend because parents were away. the laundry's not done. the floor is in a mess. i wonder what will happen when they get back tomorrow. enjoy the next two long weekends!

+no life. need to have life+

someone commented on my way of lifestyle today. maybe i really don't know how to enjoy life. i probably should be doing so many things people my age are doing, instead of meeting new people everyday. this cannot go on.

i should be enjoying the weekends; having a girlfriend and enjoying the company, driving a car with the thrills of speed, happily sun-tanning with my friends over a game of volleyball by the beach or something.

i could really use that to build on 2010 resolution setting. the little changes in 2009 i see, could really make a huge impact on 2010. i really cannot wait for the new year to come, to welcome the new big changes. i cannot expect things to get worse if things are looking so pleasantly surprising as the year winds down.

even orchard road is bustling with crowds at this recession, with so many shopping centres opened over a period of months, its hard to resist the lure of a bad year. i see hope, i see lots of happy happy things that is going to happen. so lets have life together in 2010!

+big problems = bigger head+

the more i think about my problems, the bigger my head gets. (not that its a bad thing, since my head is small for my size.) well, my boss always says, "if you sit and wait for things to happen, then probably nothing will." stepping up to actually doing it brings a whole new level of perspective, especially to many different aspects of people's lives, their values and how they judge life.

the previous sentence is really hard to fathom, well, it always does for me - having to complicate simple matters. i am not a fan of big theories, but some big theories really help to squeeze the brain out of its juices, forcing you to think further. i love to think, its not really what i like doing, but it just runs away, wild and free whenever there's nothing else to do.

from the way this entry looks, its going nowhere. incoherent as it might seem to be, i think i need food, and fresh air to muster up some really fine blog entry. this air-con in the office is really getting stale and i'm so hungry. alright, happy friday night people, cause i'm going to really have a quiet one.

+HELP!+

you know how frenzy one can get? working hard for most parts of the year, only to realise you won't be paid bonus because you missed out on it by this little bit. i think its crazy, absolutely stunningly absurd to go through something like this in december.

i need at least 15 heads! yes just because i missed out on the above tier by a little mile, i need more, more, more. i only have TWO WEEKS left. OH GOD HELP.

+FY 2010+

i almost forgot i had a blog! the last entry was about about flash-forward-ing i guess thats what i have been doing. planning for the future; looking back at now, thinking what could be done to the wonderful-oh-so-dreamy future.

its the same amount of time i watched flash-forward too. got caught up with taiwanese drama, work, and american sit-com at the moment. too many stuff to be done, peppered with the occasional relaxed chill-outs, you get life at 24.

the last time i blogged, i was so crazy thinking about bonus, benefits as a staff. i've decided its all too far in 2009. maybe its good to start early! start early, hit early, enjoy early! okay that is what i am going to do in FY 2010!

i repacked my room yesterday. went to IKEA on saturday, got myself a shelf (small one but lots of room to put my books!) and a carpet (too small to wheel myself around cause of the restricted playing space). it was close to $50 i guess its the first time i actually spent money at IKEA. it was always my dad coming out with the cash, i guess its time i pay for my own goods!

well, the changes might be slow and gradual, i guess that would facilitate how things change for me. maybe if someone, somehow comes into my life and accelerates things, that would be fine too. FY 2010 FTW!
