i actually went to three different places and did three separate things in three parts of singapore. i feel like i conquered myself for today. the usual procrastination on sundays didnt feel like giving in and boy, it was a hell of a temptation to just stay at home and watch my pretty drama while enjoying the weekend. i just hope the faith is strong enough to pull me through. i realised i needed something or someone to motivate me enough so i can see things through with ease. where is that somebody?
i realised that i have been pretty happy with life these days. maybe i didn't expect much from the daily activities, that is why i have not been disappointed as often. maybe i am much happier this way. dun expect them to listen to you then make a decision. maybe i should just sit back and relax one corner. that wouldn't do. that wouldn't make me a millionaire even at 50. all these procrastination, and resentment should stop. june only has two days more anyway.
today i had my first director's haircut. it wasnt too bad! service was good. first time i felt like i was the customer! i dun mean the other salons that i've been were of lower standard, but this one, probably because a friend recommended me there, they treated me like a VIP! i mean, customer service, as we all know, is vital in services like hair salons. and very importantly, that was to be felt so you get recommendations from your customers! thats one thing i've learnt, and i will try to pick it up!
today, i was thinking about my aunt who recently passed away due to cancer. i mean, things just happened. she was diagnosed to have cancer just last year, and she dropped by singapore during CNY eariier this year and everything was still fine. i thought she'll be fine and she'll probably pull through. but the recent emails from my cousins actually mentioning that things weren't looking good for her and we should be prepared for the worst. hmm, cancer strikes anyone and everyone, nobody what you eat, what you work for, and probably, thats god's will. today i've learnt that you should never take things for granted.
today, i went out with a colleague and an ex-colleague. we shared alot, about work, and how things have been going! shopped together. though simple tasks, with the right people, it seemed like time really flies. its really good to have known a few good people around, and to know that these people will continue to support you no matter what happens. its probably me that i have not been able to trust people like i used to, but it seems like i can now put down all my worries and work towards what i have not been able to do! today, i have learnt to put my past behind and work towards the future.
the past week wasnt that great, so we shant talk too much about that. just know that the experience can be rather demoralising, one that causes girls to cry like it was a huge breakup, one that will probably make guys go emotional over days. i think i have gotten over it pretty quickly. a new week awaits, so i expect new relationships and new breakups too! alright, i think its make or break this month.
june is already here. june marks a very special date for me. june marks half of the year gone. june marks my days as a financial adviser. june marks the start of the convention! definitely much to look forward to. and definitely one to kick start many great things that life has to offer, not to mention the income potential that i might possibly be having. without support from you all (which i have not gotten any), i am still nobody.
the weather is becoming unbearable again. its one of those months people shun away from the streets, because the air is so hot and the wind is not that strong. its one of those months where the northern hemisphere experiences summer, and many people would go to the beaches to cool off. ironically, its the start of the great singapore sales again! i can see myself trying to get hold of a few good pieces of material again, provided i have the time to actually bring myself down to that happy little orchard road with that happy little shopping mood, which i have not been very lately, been able to tune myself into. god, i think im so stressed up everybody thinks im a little crazy.
well, enjoy june when you still can. shopping, beaching, or talking to other people; life is always brighter during the summer break.
