+not too great+

i cant really say i am really happy these days, because business is really, really bad. i'm doing everything i can but it seems like the whole world is facing the same fcuking problem. my boss used to tell me to not talk to negative people because i will become negative. this is not healthy! now most of them are negative! i need to run away from everybody now! =/ i'm joking. about everybody being negative. there are tons of positive people who sees this crisis as an opportunity.

caught butterfly lovers over the weekend. i didn't think that it wasn't that nice. as expected from the ratings, but at least there was some nice faces. i guess that was the only reason the show is screening right? it didn't really catch my emotions being an epic story line, but i'm sure i heard a few tears dropping in the cinema. go watch it if you got nothing to do. go watch if you like wu zhun. go catch it if you like charlene choi. dun catch it if you think the original liang zhu is nicer.

roadshow next week. and i'm sure there are more interesting people to meet. more incidents to deal with, and new battles to be fought. let's see how the last week of october is going to be. what a fast october it seems to be..

+bad times, good times+

i guess i should apologize to my blog for not updating it, cause i dun see any comments lately. that means nobody is reading and i shouldn't be responsible for anyone! i know there are still a few avid readers out there reading this and really shy. just let me know how i can improve via msn if you are really shy, cause we all need to improve! i think this layout is too simple and i probably need some decent advice on it.

past week was slow, though i could say it was quite a good week of bonding for the juniors. meetings and activities put us together, though times like these are bad, but keeping the morale positive at this moment is crucial. the whole world looks like its crumbling now, but i think the various government should be able to tide us through. keep reading the papers. i'm sure one day you will read something positive, though lately, none has been looking rosy.

i'd probably need a holiday this year, looks like i only have time after CNY! look how packed the new scheme is making me. and my weekends are barely weekends now. and i still need the referrals in order for my job to sustain.

+weddings+

the days towards the end of year is just creeping closer and closer. i guess christmas parties have already been in plans by now. i'm so gonna be busy till CNY, i guess this is the time to work towards my goals.

attended my cousin's wedding over the weekend. met up with the folks. had much to update and talk. but times like that were usually short and brisk. but i had fun. beach wedding at rasa sentosa wasnt the first time, and this one didnt look like it cost alot. but it really did. im beginning to think back about how they got together etc. it's been a long road. finally they are married. i can see how happy the parents are. and how my grandma is even though she couldnt eat much. saw a few familiar faces at the dinner and it was quite a good way to socialise!

its getting late and i gotta prepare for the new week.

+gracious campaign+

i was reading the papers today, and i was smiling to myself. first, the goodness, gracious me! campaign is going to be held in singapore.; an act to promote self-awareness of our people to clear their trays after meals. if you are not local and you are reading this, you must be wondering: what? i know, im quite "paiseh" (shy) to admit but we singaporeans have many traits that put us prominently on the world map.

i remember seeing these two ang-mohs at a fast food restaurant clearing their trays after their meals, and the whole restaurant looked at them like they are doing something illegal. LOL. its always courteous of us to clear our bowls when we are at home, but doing it outside, seems like hell to most of us. because we do have aunties employed to "do the dirty job" for us! i mean, the government has been telling the "golden age" generation to come out to work, and contribute to the society right? might as well, give them what the government wants. now the authorities want to take their jobs away. what a contradictory move for most of us.

anyway, jokes aside. the whole AIG saga looks to be over, with the core business set to stay. some of the assets are going to be sold off to allow more liquid cash to come in. i think all the other companies should be very happy cause AIG is selling it at slashed prices. not very slashed also lah. :) hopefully nobody would be stupid enough to surrender their policies again, and nobody goes outside the service centres to distribute name cards. call me if you have any queries.

its oktober already. so oktober fest is here! how exciting. i hope i get invited to one of the parties. and indulge in fresh cold beer. lose myself. get lots of fun. and perhaps, come back to work again, afresh and kicking. we are left with three months this year. three months to make a whole lot of difference. 2008 must have been a different year for me, and for many of my friends as well.

hopefully the rest of the three months brings much surprise to end off the year...

+new month, new beginnings+

how's the new month coming along for everybody? firstly, i wish all muslims a very good holiday. a great time to feast after a month of fasting. i'm sure it'll build more mental strength in all of you! definitely, a good cause to celebrate. secondly, a great children's day to all the little rascals running about and crying for no apparent reason yet looking so cute after they are fed, get cuddled and given kisses. once a year, i'm sure you are the happiest kids on earth.

the past week has been rocky. besides the world being in recession, i guess the rest of the world should be feeling the same thing. the cycle is back again, after 11 years, and i'm speculating that this one will hit us harder than the previous ones. i've been talking to as many people as i can, and reading up as much, hopefully all these helps in my job!

F1 over the weekend on sunny island singapore! no sun on the tracks though, because its the first night race! im not very excited though, because many people suddenly became fans overnight. at least it shows that what singapore is trying to do is working, but i just dun like the idea of bringing F1 to singapore. maybe the location is just not right. i wished it was at some ulu track, like lim chu kang area? or they can race in kranji, round the turf course. LOL. i know how singapore wants to use F1 to put their city line on the world map, but its just not very nice because its too packed there!

the sales counter starts all over again. so good luck to me!
