updates on the previous week.. took a trip to NUS to meet up with dear sis. went for a tour around the much deserted compared to normal curriculum school only to realise how much i missed campus life. too bad i didnt apply for NUS this year, cause the chances of getting in is almost close to zero. hopefully NTU accepts my request and let me get in? i'll work hard, i promise. if not, i might have to start studying part-time and changing my interests as well. drastic changes, grr.. nobody likes it.
recorded the most number of movies caught in a week. 4 movies over the entire seven days. guess i should put a stop to all these indulgence and start the saving up for the future. i guess watching a movie is part of catching up with long lost friends, or replacing the regular weekly meetings. at least there is a purpose for going out. not just aimless window-shopping and going home with nothing, besides a few new female faces we caught for three seconds.
the job application hunt looks very daunting at this moment. though the job market is booming, many companies do not want to increase their staff numbers. jobs are created but most of them very lowly paid. somebody save me from this pathetic misery.
march was a struggle, really. at work especially. if you cannot work with the colleagues, might as well not waste time and leave. sounds very rash, very childish, but much thinking has been put in. having certain issues with the friends as well. i know there's simply so much explaining to do. hello, shit don't just happen to me, it happens to everybody. last minute crop ups is inevitable sometimes, hope you all understand. i need time off too.
i got myself into certain piles of crap lately and im still trying to sort everything out. i wished everything was as easy as saying, but reality is often so different trying to execute a plan that you thought was flawless. AHH, the irony of things, just so freaking funny.
the thinking's probably never going to end. i need solution to every problem. maybe i don't need a solution at all. just drop me a million or two will you? since its easter. alright, wishful thinking again. nothing falls from the sky for free. we gotta put our hands into whatever we want in this world. growing up is difficult. it sucks. just as much as everything else in the world. peace out.
august rush is a show on my list on my 'movies to catch' list. this one inspires all musicians to pursue your passion. i felt that the kid 'august rush' was very dedicated in his role, and it did make me want to learn music once again. sometimes, these movies make you have this sudden urge to do something, but its just once strong short rage that lives in you. i love that movie. i would recommend all to watch it if you are looking for something really motivating.
submitted my resignation letter on friday, and that means the search for the perfect job begins. i have a few job scope in mind, and its time to do that thinking all over again. had quite a long chat with the boss, and learnt quite abit from him, his past experiences, which i could learn in the future.
went out with a few of my mates from the internet. the few which i could relate to. shall not debut them yet in case i still need to put them aside for further probation. anyways, we went to wala wala. first time there, first time i set foot on holland village and i love that place already. pizza, beer, fries, live bands and loads of noise. i guess this is much better than clubbing, for me. at least i do not feel tired, have sweaty bodies and sore feet at the end of the night.
caught vantage point. its a story that has super short storyline because its taken from many points of view from different character. i must say the director is bold to try something like this. maybe this has already been tested positive. but its the first time i've seen something like this and he managed to pull it off well. i wouldnt recommend it if you do not like the boring buildup. but the entire show is only 90 minutes, not too bad to sit down and think.
such a long weekend. who is going to give me easter eggs on sunday?
celebrated a friend's birthday over at pitstop on wednesday night. its a boardgames cafe just like mind's cafe and settlers cafe. i wouldnt say i love that place, neither would i say i hate it. each of the cafes sells their own marketing strategies so its up to the consumers to choose which one they prefer. i guess its the company that you go with that makes a whole load of difference?
rejected a clubbing trip on friday. considering the many factors that came into my mind, cover charge, drinks, cab. whole night of dancing to songs mostly i could listen to on my ipod. maybe it didnt appeal to me as much now. i still have my pile of money to save up for my eagerly anticipated ASUS laptop. probably a clubbing trip somewhere near my birthday dudes? that would exactly be two months away. oh my god, im turning david beckham. still so much to achieve, and im still very much a kid, on the inside.
i didnt know march had such a quick pace. its one third into this long month (of 31 days). the company just gave out forms for filling up to submit our income taxes. its the first act of what society goes through the vicious cycle called 'rat race'. this is what our government plans for our old age. its good only after we collect that lump sum amount of money we could use? some of the colleagues are already talking about it.
soccer over at roy's place on saturday. free turf soccer! how great is that? the mood for playing soccer had died out probably. with the increase in workload, draining all my extra energy to run, shout, speak. the only good thing that has kept me going is probably the ability to roam freely like i've always wanted. the bonds made amongst strangers too.
IT show over the weekend. i went for three days straight. my plan to buy a notebook meant i had to research, ask, and compare the different laptops up for grabs. managed to buy my first laptop on sunday. stock not available due to overwhelming response. for the next two months i'll probably save the money of going out and play with it. it'll be arriving in 14 days (thats what the salesperson told me). shall blog more about it when the lappie eventually arrives at my house.
caught the leap years and step up 2 over the past week! leap years is very nice! li lin and joan chen were very stunning in their performances and im beginning to love singapore movies already. step up 2 is a show which made me wanna go visit clubs all over again, the last visit was four months ago. i love to see their choreography and dance moves which would really tell how much they have been practising.
the week was probably great, minus the work.
welcome to reality. your most true experience for the next forty years. welcome to the cold-blooded world. you have to sharpen your knives everyday to fend yourself off these unknown attacks. welcome to society. where the smart gets promoted, and the dumb gets trampled on. welcome to life. what does not come your way always sucks. welcome to my blog. you can stay if you think im making sense or just simply bugger off.
a scientist came along the way. he saw this kid and believed what he saw was a genius. he came to know this kid more and liked how he actually made the class became interested in lessons conducted in class. well, apparently this kid got the class so noisy it caused complaints to flood in. the 'MOE' got to know of this and came by to investigate. well the story is still going on but i have yet to finish it due to time constrains.
anyway, this kid eventually became the second edison. its one of those shows where they get you to think even after watching. a different type of thinking as compared to invigorating shows like 'liar game' or 'deathnote'. a pretty good show i would say.
