Your type is best summed up by the word "counselor", which belongs to the larger group of idealists. Only 2% of the population share your type. You are so empathic that you often know what others need before they know themselves. You are a complex person who can deal with complicated issues and people, almost prefer to, as you love problem solving. You can be something of an idealist or perfectionist, and should try to take yourself a little less seriously.
You are a supportive and insightful romantic partner, encouraging your mate to have dreams and work hard to make those dreams come true. Because you are so creative, you have a wealth of ideas to help them toward those goals. You need harmony so much that you are driven to resolve conflict quickly, as long as the terms don't violate your ethics. You feel the most appreciated when your partner admires your creativity, trusts your inspirations, and respects your values. It is also vitally important that your partner be open and emotionally available - in other words, that they be willing to share themselves completely.

it all started with a rather peaceful week when i received an email on thursday morning (read the previous entry) where i got a presentation on monday, which is tomorrow. i haven't got started which now puzzles me. how am i going to die tomorrow? friday night. so excited over prospect plans of catching a movie. ended up cancelled because the timings weren't suitable. i was rather tired too, from a week of waking up at 0530 every single morning for five straight days. thats the reason i feel like moving house. at least i can sleep in a little later. plans for coffee at serangoon gardens was crashed partly because of me too. so were the party plans. sorry dudes.
rise and shine early on saturday morning. couldnt sleep anymore because the body clock is tuned already. very excited over the prospects of catching a movie, a good one, eg stardust. cineleisure, 3.40 they say. so we queued. "tickets for stardust, 3.40 please." i happily said it out. "ahh, you know its an AM show right?" the counter girl was kind enough to mention. so i left the queue, almost immediately, after saying thanks. GREAT.
changed location. bishan. stardust left with first row tickets. past experiences tells you that you get neck strains after 2 hours. so, left with the other show on our list, beowulf. very happy got our tickets. five rows from the back, 2 hours before the screening. got a fair enough amount of time for a decent meal. we let the new boy who didnt know the place well decide on what to eat because there was simply nothing you cant find there. roy decided on swen's. great. i needed something filling and that was exactly what i needed. carbs. roy recommended bunnycomb's kabab from one of the christmas specials. decided to "try" because he said somebody recommended it from the newspapers somewhere he read. turned out to be something not to our liking. totally wasted $16 on that. dessert was not bad! black sesame paste.
then comes the movie. the commercials were 20 minutes long. totally forgot we were at golden village. you get to enjoy every second of your $8 (thanks to the safra card!) beowulf was the movie we caught. first minute into the movie. WHAT?? animation? totally turn-off can? eight freaking bucks wasted. rushed over to rard's house for some live soccer action. reds vs magpies. gerrard on form as torres misses his chances, one after another. manchester united also lost first time after the derby match months ago.
sunday! great morning. the sun was great. it was nice and warm the whole weekend. went over for soccer, the usual place. when i got there, heaven start crying, alot. hush hush, dont cry for me, not now. started breaking prisons before heaven decided to stop whining. soccer was restored. for barely an hour. but it was all great fun. more breaking prisons before we thought we needed to refill our tummies. prata was the only good thing that reminded me of the good old days. okay, im running late. got work tomorrow.
jokes aside, i just received a word from my boss that i got a presentation to do to the department regarding some of the work i have been doing. this seems like a good step to proving my worth, but i have not done anything yet! only the skeleton, not decorating everything such that the presentation looks presentable. one good thing is that my boss doesnt like things too messy, so keeping it short and simple should be perfect for him. big boss is on off again this two days, so i got all the time i want to start preparing. wish me luck!
christmas is all 33 days away and the mood is definitely kicking in. im thinking of throwing a christmas party with all the good food round the table, but giving it a serious thought, i might give that idea a miss. i have not been enjoying christmas these few years, i think i might need a boost this year, considering getting out of army as something to celebrate? i need ideas, and help. and funding. and lots of people who might be interested?
enough of crap. now back to work.

what a high energy level bunch of kids they are! maybe work has tolled me down so much. i didnt realise i was tired till the end of the day. havent had a long lunch break like i used to, nor did i have time for actual data collection. they are an inquisitive group i would call, smart students. they ask everything! though i find them stupid, but i cant really blame them because i've gone through abit more in this field, so i might not be fascinated by some of the things i see everyday.
they made me think, again, over my messed up plans over my future. it seemed like 15 year-olds already had big plans, big hopes, big dreams. they told me i was one of their mentor and wanted to take a picture. i rejected because my boss says no pictures is to be taken out of the department unless its vetted by him. guess what? they went to find my boss and told my boss to call me for a photography session. good job well done.
im so sick today i think im falling ill. back to work now.
the pace of my footstep has been slow and mundane. i have been slowly strolling by the river, while the others have crossed the bridge and starting running. i need to start to pick up my pace, not because i want to; because if i dont start running, i would lag behind.
the people around me have been irritating. and the family as well. maybe because they dont understand me well enough. and the colleagues at work have been rather sarcastic with their choice of words, issit just me? i've been trying hard, i really am. maybe, its just not good enough.
sometimes giving up is just so plain fucking easy. you can say, aargh, lets just stop trying being something im not. why should i try so badly to be somebody great? nobody is going to see it anyway. maybe its not a good time like this to think about sad things. im such an idiot when it comes to managing myself.
hopefully november turns out well for me.
titanic was screen on channel 5 for the past two days. managed to catch it an umpteenth time and still, im not sick of it. that has to go down as the BEST-EST movie that i would not fall sick over. normally i do not have the patience nor time to sit down and enjoy. it did make me feel sad all over again, thinking about love, emotions etc. friends around me are falling in and out of love often recently, it has got me thinking, what does love actually mean to everyone. however, it still boils down to the pure happy feeling you feel with each other. that is the most vital. got into some emotional thought lately and its making me not very comfortable with everything around me. i probably need a break. its friday tomorrow. hopefully the weekend is going to be pick up.
should i take up the job offer? this is going to exhaust my weekends till i only have time for eating, sleeping, and maybe a quick shopping trip in town. though the working hours are shorter and the money is lesser, but hey, its still money and i haven got much cash to spare these days with the festive season coming along.
well i really need a part-time job and i in the midst of a serious ponder. and i need to reply them really quickly.
its definitely quite interesting to stand amidst the crowd and watch what people do when every single song is played. you are standing smack in the middle of the dance floor and you are happily singing the tunes. you see couples, groups of friends, some loners, all enjoying themselves. a typical and ideal scene. you have two girls coming in from the left. then you see the group of guys start to swarm in. a rush of testosterones down and up. then you realise one another group of friends from another ethic group coming along. they get rowdy and loud probably due to getting too "excited" because its their first trip.
you know these people. they get so crazy and start pushing around within themselves. under the influence of alcohol, things tend to get out of hand. less than 3 songs later, a fight broke out. it wasnt a surprise at all. the staring, pushing, everythng led up to the brawl. wah, nice. first time i've seen a fight inside a club, the first time since secondary school days where boys were still boys, hormones were still raging where life is all about books, teachers, and friends. it was also the first time in my history where it actually poured.
its the weekends again. yay!
is it been just me or has this dawned upon most of you that your parents got a control over your lives and there's simply just no freedom? maybe its good to be under the watchful eyes of the ones who brought you up ever since you were little ones, but hey, we need our personal space as well!
what are the odds you came home and the whole house is yours? lately its been like zilch. everybody is at home (besides my dad who has to work cause he's the sole breadwinner if you minus me cause i dont really add much percentage to the house's economy) and its getting super noisy at times i cant read, write or think. sometimes the house is just a house, a place to stay with no warmth or any slight gentleness to speak about.
its deepavali today. the neighbours would bring cookies over again, i wonder when they'll stop. its just the tradition thing everyone does in the past and why is it still going on? well, i never spoke to my neighbours besides "hi, bye" kind of gestures which only means they know i exist and i know they do too. does it happen to everybody too? i remember playing around with the neighbour's kids when i was still living in bedok where everybody's doors are open and nobody bothered because it was so safe.
now, it just feels like everybody's only taking care of their own areas. who cares if you are growing gold at your lawn. i make sure there are no weeds on mine and thats all that matters. what an apathetic world we live in. please comment in the comment box and not at the tagboard. thank you.
in the end, i finished my work within a single day. no tea break, just lunch break. im such a genius.
there's more work piled and more data to be collected. im seriously thinking whether im paid fairly for what im doing. for now, let me continue reading "the kite runner"
i must thank a few friends who got me starting to write, read, inspired. names shall not be revealed for certain reasons but your efforts will definitely go a long way to inspiring greater things. continue to keep the creative writing juices oozing out of your minds.
got stuck watching heroes season one and i haven got through half of it. its captivating, intriguing and addictive at the same time. there are simply so many shows to watch and tv links aint working. do i have to splurge cash on stupid old shows? i got seasons and seasons of dramas to catch up on, thats definitely gonna take years and years. channel 5 is showing heroes here in 7 days time. cant wait for a second preview.
caught the noose on channel 5 last night. i must say this is quite a good show in a long time (maybe i have not caught any good variety shows of late from local producers). gurmit, michelle, enlai and some other guy comes out in various querky characters as they present the current affairs in terms of newscaster. catch it and have a good laugh. michelle chong would always start her segment by saying, "hi im adrianna wow from the noose and i read the news on the noose."
facebook is evil. a friend of mine put that as his msn nick. totally agree. been receiving tons of emails from them and in turn, i spam mails of my friends. this is how successful facebook has become. like the top 5 websites i visit nowadays. sometimes i spend hours figuring out the different applications and time just flies by like that. have fun people, limit yourself to just one hour per day.
