yesterday was the eve of vesak day, plans were made to club at a local club. we got there at the usual time but it seems that the crowd was already overwhelming. something was already wrong. we queued for about an hour. rumours has it that it was full house. but sources say its still empty inside. it was quite a turn-off trying to get in yet ppl are trying to cut your queue. well, who wasnt doing it?
wasted another hour waiting for a friend's friend. she said she wanted to go to another club already. wah! kena cheated never mind, still say such stuffs. in the end we changed location in search of a better place to dance.
we got to our second location. the situation wasnt that good either. the queues were long but it seemed that the crowd was becoming lesser. we went in to "take a look". too many people! dilly dally for a while more before we changed clubs again, a third time.
this time it was already way past midnight, and the throngs of crowd still holding onto the hope of getting in seemed only to be bothered by the overwhelming public holiday crowd. the taxi stand queue was as long as the ones outside the clubs, many not really obeying the etiquettes, going somewhere else to hike a cab. we were thinking of alighting at our third location, but decided to change location, yet again. "gotta cancel our plans lah, today just cannot make it."
guess what? in the end we settled for a hearty meal at lau pa sat. satay, stingray, noodles, and a whole lot more. it was cheaper than the cover charge and it seemed like our unlikely backup plan was how we eventually spent our vesak day morning with friends over a table.
no more clubbing one day before a public holiday. everybody wants to relax. there's just too little nightspots for us lah. and smoking bans will soon apply in clubs in a month's time. definitely going to shun away many people because what are clubs without the smell of cigarettes?
there are some things that can never be explained. there is no point trying to understand it because it cannot be explained.
dont try explaining what i can never understand. and dont try to understand what can never be explained.
its a whole load of crap which makes hell of a sense to me. start talking to me because if you keep that golden mouth of yours shut, we can never start talking like there's no tomorrow.
one day after my trip from taiwan, still in the mood of splurging and buying things simply because it makes you feel good. tw jio me out that day to buy shoes. timberland! on discount! looking at him buy those shoes makes me so tempted. so i went on looking around for nice shoes for myself. i found it. 30% discount. and they got my size. call it impulse purchase or not. i bought it without even thinking.
fast forward four days. we went walking around vivo city after our hearty dinner at bakerzin. got spare time to burn before our movie, pirates of the carribean: at world's end. walked into timberland again, with the mentality of "just looking around". i saw my shoe. this time its on a discounted price of 50%! can you imagine how crappy i felt? cause i have not even worn it yet. guess what the sales assistant person said? "oh, we just moved it to 50%, SORRY.." ??!!!
i guess thats just life. no point sulking and crying over spilt milk. whats over it over. full stop. move on and keep looking forward. i lost my first pair of shades in sentosa yesterday. no more ranting i guess. i'll feel older if i keep complaining.
im still uploading the pictures, the effects from my camera isnt very good at night, and the photographers who were shooting me werent very professional. LOL. so wait for a little longer, since you guys have already been waiting already..
one year of facing everyone as a legal adult means i got more things to shoulder now. the most important of all now is to think about my impending future. my route is not yet planned like the rest of my friends, most of them already secured a place in the university, either locally or in another foreign land. some have already started their career by joining the workforce, something i might consider if all the universities decided to reject me altogether.
one more year of national service, and im down to the final three months or so, the final leg of saving lives, making the most of the experience i would never get again. nothing is more real than kissing the soil on the floor, running in a company under the falling sun, tasting your own sweat and smelling the nature green grass in the evening.
i'll be off to taiwan tomorrow. hopefully we make the most of the four day trip there. and things go along as planned. no screw ups, no unhahppy memories.. oh, finally, may i enjoy myself as a 22 year old..
yesterday wanted to go out change some money for our taiwan trip next week, ended up in vain cause we cant really find one. actually it was partly our fault lah, for being lazy and everything, final chance to do it would be next thursday. walked through bugis street, in the end, there wasnt much things to buy cause most of it were catered for the girls, same over at bugis point, this 7-storey building which i guess just opened, because most of the shops have not even started their renovation.
went to town for our usual window shopping. started to pour and some smart alec suggested we run. haha. we ended up stuck outside starbucks at crown prince. saw celebrity and it wasnt too bad getting stuck afterall. managed to get to paragon and we were under good cover all the way. cracked some lame jokes as usual had the usual laughs. LOL.
dinner at bk, something i havent had for quite a long time because we were busy indulging in macdonald's, kfc and ljs. doing the usual childish jokes we think its stupid but we still do it because it makes us so happy for a moment. tw with his "i want my spidey toy!". and the counter girl asking, "are you guys eating here?"
the happy schooling days might be over but i guess i am very contented with having the friends here with me. how long will this make me elated? im not sure either, hopefully it lasts forever..
easily irritated, easily annoyed, and many a times, i tend to not know what im doing because my sub-conscious is doing everything for me.
somebody help me.
dont worry. if you are outside the orb, i wont smile at you, talk to you, or even look at you. if you notice any obvious signs of these, you know where you stand. its really amazing how much i hate ppl outside now, 'cuz society forces me to, i guess. there's just so many things to take care of i think i better take care of the important ones before other mediocre ones.
im laughing at how silly i am sometimes. making sure things go the right way, but in actual fact, the result doesnt even fuckin' matter. i will learn to be smarter, in the future.
just finish reading jh's blog. his blog never failed to make me laugh, but the latest entry was quite funny because i was in the act too. haha. really had a scary time trying to persuade someone not to go somewhere in order for our plan to work. didnt know there was a Plan C as well. you never told me about it. i guess in the end was quite a success lah, since the present got to his hands quite the way we expected. happy merry birthday jew.
there's our long awaited taiwan trip which we can hopefully enjoy and relax ourselves from all sorts of stress we get in life. tight budget on our minds, so i guess we gotta really save whatever we can and get the most out of this trip.
this month is also the birthdays of many of my friends! u know they like to put ppl with the close birthdays together in bmt and groups and everything. so i got to know more ppl born this month. happy birthday taureans and cancerians.
with summer blockbusters smashing the screens across the world during this may-june period, we can many many shows within the next two or three months! spiderman 3, pirates of the carribean 3, shrek 3, fantastic four part 2, harry potter (i dunno which movie its at now because there's so many of them) and many more. save up before you miss out on them!
