+tmnt+

caught the movie of the comic, teenage mutant ninja turtles. the starting was crappy, the build-up was too long, and the ending was too sudden. i didnt really enjoy the movie too, but many parts of the show did bring back much memories of the spirit of brotherhood among the heroes, which i absolutely adored during my childhood days.

the new technology in animation made the turtles looked more intimidating, and skinnier than the usual ones we normally see in the 90's. but some things never change - having fun in the sewers, creating havoc whilst in the pizza van, making merry hopping around the top of skyscrapers in new york city. maybe i expected too much out of this movie, i wasnt very much "wow-ed" after stepping out of the theatre, but was looking for more.

+growing up+

i have recently gotten back to reading again. i think i find peace and solace in it. i find myself back, from the derailed and lost me. i always feel very happy when i get to read, in a quiet environment, where i can go into my surreal home. im running out of books to read, because i dont like to read books i've read before. im running out of money to buy new books to enjoy. will any kind souls please lend me some really nice tomes to savour?

life is turning monotonous lately. i have not really been enjoying the perks life ought to give me; the joy of laughing, crying, having lots of friends around me, having someone to adore, having someone to protect me, having someone to talk to - it all sums up to being all alone again. we tend to go back to our roots, of being home sapians, who thrive on communicating, and are generally more happy in a group.

there are so many facts in life i have yet to digest, and all these little things add up to what we call being an adult.

when you feel lonely, just look up at the stars and know that im always there, shining on you. when i hold out the torch out to find you, will you be there to shine it back on me?

such beautiful words only happen to beautiful people. it doesn't have to necessary be a human being.

to all the mixed up and confused, you are definitely not alone. to all the ones who are happy and contented, you are also not the only lucky ones.

cherish the ones around you before they are all gone..

+first IV+

they say you only know who the real bastards are in the army. you only recognise the men in boys in the army as well. i totally agree with those statements. its not about who gets first at the end of the day, its who gives you a piece of meat when there is not enough meat to go around. the reality of this is easy to understand, yet very difficult to execute when you get into dire situations.

the first intravenous (IV) training began on friday since the start of my MRF days. it was the first since we passed out from our basic medic course. it became a very tense morning that our arms were again, being used as mob ones, you couldnt really see any veins at eight in the morning. there were several brave ones who went ahead with their attempts to find a conspicuous vein. there were others who sat down and broke into cold sweat. there were some who just laid down there and screamed their lungs out. it was comical to see, but ironic at the same time. i just sat down and laughed, because the needle in my arm only reminded of good old days when i first started out training in the medical school.

flava celebrated its 5th anniversary on friday as well. one of my favourite places to head to on fridays for some dancing and booze. it wasnt too packed, but there were certainly lots to enjoy at the end. definitely much more to expect in the coming years to come!

+just some other normal boring rants+

i always love reading blogs of other people, friends or not, what really matters is the content. i tend to get lots of inspiration while reading them, and try to relate to my life. you know sometimes i find myself weird that i try to fit myself inside this oddly-looking world called society. we were all born into this place not knowing what to do; we need to find somebody to lead us into the light.

i always love watching football with my bunch of poly friends at tpy. its really funny when you look at us, because we never stop laughing at our stupid jokes we crack. we make fun of the players, we laugh over their crazy moves, we cry at our teams being beaten. its heart-wrenching to see your friend's team crash instead of yours, you know thats only life, because the same thing is going to happen to your team the next season.

i always wanted my red devils' jersey with all the beautiful memories of supporting this team since i was a kid. i guess i could just afford one when they lift the premier league trophy at the end of the season. it has been awhile since david beckham left that we have not won the league. keep all our fingers crossed. this season is ours!

+life's going to be harder+

dear diary, im back at home again after one whole week of army. it was a bad one, rather the week prior to the hell month which we are going to face. the mental torture was bad enough, let alone going through it. i think we are all going to not be able to pull through. i can foresee many falling out during the training, deployment, and physical training.

it was much of a struggle for many of us to go through, and many quarreled in the process. nothing had been of planned; it was back to BMT for everyone of us. nobody liked the way we were treated when we were barely months away from ORD. i can only say things like this will not promote esprit de corps, but cause differences to surface.

next week is the start of hell month. its going to be another stretch of waking up at 5am and training commences right after breakfast. we are going to train and train till the night falls. we are going to train mentally, physically, and try to put both into good use. we are going to be an elite unit once again. we are after all, the commandos amidst the medics.
