+long labour day weekend+

im beginning to feel so lazy to log on to blogger to write a simple entry of late. sometimes getting my arse out of the house would sound too troublesome for me. but ironically, i haven grown any fatter.

how has the long weekend been guys? mine hasnt been much of a surprise, the usual things i do during the week basically sums it all up. well this past week was full of mixed feelings, first was the release of the different teams which we might end up being in for the next year or so. well, no surprises for me i guess, i should be in team 1. but several names appearing in team 2 should be in other teams which suited them more i feel. but who better is to make the difficult decisions than our saddistic yet cool-headed force sarge.

this breakdown of the 35 of us into different teams would tear us apart after having bonded rather well for so long, since the medic course days, to the basic conversion course for the past 7-8 weeks or so.. but we totally can understand what the seniors want us to achieve at the end of everything - to be able to work with every single one of the guys in the company, and not within our own cliques. and that is to say working with some of the very arrogant individuals who think they are so darn good; rendering the rest, useless. there are of course, some of those who are weaker in beliefs, some of us whose thinking of national service are not that strong, and there are those who trust someone more than another. mixt all these different people together, you either find a bunk with totally no life, or you find animosity, and fights in them. i want neither of these of course, its somehow inevitable.

the next bad news we received over the week was the possiblity of specialists course for us to be reduced to only 25%-30% of us being able to be selected, instead of 100% for the past ten platoons. there were much cursing and swearing at everyone after that, yours truly being one of the hot-headed ones blowing his top of at one of his bunk mates. sorry man, for doing that, you know we all feel sore after hearing that. after all, specialist course was what motivates most of us to go into this unit for the rest of our national service, and the thought of having a meagre amount of cash for another 15 months sucks.

may is finally here. that means good bye to stupid crappy movies and hello blockbusters! with at least one good show screening per week this month, i think i wont have bucks left in me to spend for the GSS! and i have foolishly signed up for guard duty on mother's day. please dun remind me that mother's day is coming man, the thought of spending the weekend before my 21st in camp sucks so much already..
